potd - Around the Shop

I didn't realise it had been so long since I posted some photos. here's some from around the shop. I've got some fun  vintage/retro plastic containers that have been used for sewing, pencils, etc and I've also got some old silk worm raising nets in again. And more...

  1. Hi Jan! You might remember me, Marian and hubby Chris from the Mainland. We visited a few weeks ago and purchased a number of sewing items and tools ... and we admired your sewing tin. We stayed at New Norfolk that night and the very next day, whilst looking through the antique shops there, we found a sewing tin too! Thankyou so much for your wonderful hospitality - we are looking forward to another visit perhaps in 12 - 18 months time. One thing I have to ask - what were those sewing tins called? .... thanks again, cheers, Marian

  2. Hi Marian, Yes I do remember you. Sorry, we don't have a special name for the sewing tins other than haribako (needle box) which is used for all sewing boxes. Rare to find one in New Norfolk! Jan
